Youth racing at BVSC – Compete, have fun and get some prizes!
Saturday youth racing:
Every Saturday there is scheduled youth racing. It’s a great chance to race against people your age and race with BVSC’s Youth squad.
The usual format is a handicap racing, the youth fleet all start together and the race team work out the results based on boat handicap. A simple triangular course is set which is the perfect stage for some close and exciting racing! Briefing is at 13:30 down by the race board and the race start time is set at the briefing but never before 14:00. Results will be published as soon as possible under the ‘Youth racing results’ tab and a prize giving will be held usually after a 5 Saturday series.
You do not need to book on to the racing in advance, just come down and sign on the sheet next to the race board. Let’s go racing!
Sunday racing:
Sunday is a great chance to race against experience sailors by joining in with the club racing. Come down and get involved!
