Some of you will be aware that we had applied for funding under the Places, People & Play Inspired Facilities Initiative to purchase a new floating pontoon, which will enable access to the water at all water levels. The project also includes a hoist to enable access to disabled sailors, as well as easier access for the Rowers and canoeists.
Mike Wilcock , Richard Hayden and I have just collected the cheque for £47,000 to pay for it.

It is hoped that the pontoon will be in place by the end of August
We have also been awarded a further £10,000 from the Small Lottery Grants towards the purchase of two RS Ventures to assist with the Ladies that Launch project. These boats should be with us in time for the Club Open day this Saturday 21st July
