Rules The race will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions of the Royal Yachting Association and by the Sailing Instructions. But for this event boats may carry a bigger crew than normal, i.e. a fifteen may have a crew of more than 2 and a Laser more than one
Entries The race is open to all members of the Club. There will be two starts, one for adults and one for juniors, under 18 on 31.12.2013. All helms and crews in a junior boat must be under 18. Each boat must have at least two helms and two crews for double- handed boats, two helms for single handed boats. Some boats may have more than 2 crews and may change crews more frequently.
Registration Registration will take place at BVSC prior to the briefing by completing the entry sheet posted on the notice board near the chart of Bewl Water. The names of all helms and crews must be declared on the entry form. There is no charge.

Start of race The adult race will start at 11.00 and junior race at 11.03. Both races will finish at 16.00 or soon after.
Sailing Instructions Sailing Instructions will be available on the day or from the BVSC website www.bewlvalleysc.co.uk . Additional sailing instruction: Each boat must change crews AT LEAST twice during the race at approximately 90 minute intervals, i.e. at 12.30 and 14.15. But a boat may change crews more than twice. A crew change must be indicated to the Committee boat the next time the boat passes through the gate. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
Prizes The number of prizes will depend on the number of entries
