Notice of Race
Venue: Bewl Valley Sailing Club, Bewl Water, Lamberhurst, Kent.
Date: Monday 26th December 2012
Organising Authority: Bewl Valley Sailing Club, Sailing Sub-Committee
Rules: The race will be governed by the rules as defined in the Racing Rules of Sailing, the prescriptions of the Royal Yachting Association, the appropriate class association, and by the Sailing Instructions.
Entries: The Race is Open to any dinghy registered to be sailed on Bewl Water. Helm and crew shall be members of BVSC or friends/family of Club members but, if the latter, shall not be awarded the Boxing Day Bottle Trophy which shall go to the first BVSC Member helmed boat calculated on handicap.
Handicapping: will be in accordance with the current edition of YR2. For classes that have no handicap number in the current edition of YR2, the helm must agree with the Organisers before registration the proposed number and justification.
Entry: Free of charge
Registration: Boats, helms, and crews shall be registered for the race using the signing-on sheets displayed on the Official Notice Board after 10.00 hours.
Schedule of Races: One Handicap Race for ALL classes.
First Warning Signal: Not before 10:55 hrs
Sailing Instructions: Standard Club Racing Sailing Instructions.
Prizes: The numbers of prizes will depend on the entry. No alcoholic drink will be awarded to under 18’s.
